Coffee Tour with Seal Woman
This coffee tour offers the opportunity to visit an integrated coffee farm where you will learn about the cultivation and harvesting of coffee. This farm is a model of integrated production because it has a variety of native trees and fruit from the area, as well as a tilapia farm and a beekeeping project. After the visit to this model farm, visit Café Benefit led by a women’s group Asomobi. This benefit is environmentally friendly because it minimizes water use and uses the coffee shell to make an organic fertilizer with the help of some California red worms. The local guide will explain the process of coffee from the time they receive the grain, to the process of crushing, drying and roasting, and finally to holding the coffee in your hand, using the traditional filtering method of Costa Rica.
